my first fabric

I may still decide to alter the design, but it is set to repeat at certain intervals so that the design can continue forever. The repeat is a little close, but when the fabric is used in small pieces, no one will be able to see the repeat.
The other option is to make a second block that repeats with the blossoms and some different branches to make the design more spread out and not quite so claustrophobic.

When I think of an infinite print, I think about prints that continue on forever.... literally. Based on past espirences, the first thing that comes to my mind is fabric. I have watched my boss at her mac designing the next collection of prints for the studio where i work in VA, and she then sends these designs to a middle0man company to make them repeat properly. The entire process is facinating, and my mother continues to press me to create fabric on my own using my new found art-school skills. There is fabric out now that anyone can pick up from a craft store and print images on it. It is through this that these designs lose their integrity, with the ability to merely print them out from home instead of going to the studio to buy some. I am going to attempt to design my own, and create some nature of object with the peices I am able to print out. here goes nothin!
